RMBL Cornhole Rules

  • 2 Players from each team play. Teams can rotate players from game-to-game but can not rotate players mid-game.
  • Teams are allowed to use subs for any regular season games.
  • The line to throw is the front edge of the board.
  • Bags can not bounce onto the board. Any bag that has rolled or bounced onto the board should be immediately removed so that it doesn’t interfere with subsequent throws.
  • Games are to 21 using cancellation scoring
    • 3 Points for every bag in the hole.
    • 1 Point for every bag on the board
    • Win by 2 or first to 25
    • Does not need to “land” exactly on 21 or any other winning score
    • No penalty for going “over”
  • ‘Final Inning’: Due to time constraints, if the League Coordinator requests a ‘Final Inning’ each player gets one more round of tosses. The score at the end of the Final Inning will determine the winner.

Tournaments

  • Tournament seeding will be determined by Win%. All teams qualify for the End-of-Season Tournament.
  • In any instance that ‘Exact Scoring’ is being used, i.e. the winning team must land on exactly 21 to win, the following rules will apply:
    • There is no penalty or reduction in points for a team that exceeds 21 on a given turn. They simply remain at their current point total.
    • When a team does exceed 21 on a turn (“Busts”, “Goes Over”) they will throw first to start each turn until the other team scores or busts.
